Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Services

Lighthouse Marine & Inspection Services Pte Ltd (“the Company”) will perform the survey services as agreed with the Client, in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

2. Fees & Charges

All fees are based on the latest quotation or charges agreed. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Overtime after standard working hours
  • Public holiday attendance
  • Waiting time beyond agreed tolerance
  • Launch boat, transport, or third-party costs (where applicable)

3. Payment Terms

  • All invoices are due within 30 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellation after the surveyor has been dispatched or has attended onboard/terminal will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to one full survey charge or as stated in the quotation.
  • Launch boat or third-party fees (if already committed) remain chargeable.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • The Company’s liability is limited to the invoice amount for the specific job.
  • The Company shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or financial losses, including but not limited to delays, demurrage, loss of hire, or loss of profit.
  • All surveys are conducted based on information provided by the vessel, crew, and parties involved. The Company shall not be held responsible for false or incomplete information supplied to the surveyor.

6. Reporting

  • Survey reports are issued based on the surveyor’s best judgment and observations at the time of attendance.
  • Any comments, disputes, or clarifications must be raised within 7 days of receiving the report. After this period, the report will be deemed accepted.

7. Confidentiality

All information obtained during the course of the survey will be kept confidential and shared only with parties authorised by the Client.

8. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held liable for failure to perform services due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including weather conditions, port restrictions, operational delays, or government regulations.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore, unless otherwise mutually agreed.

10. Acceptance

Proceeding with the service or confirming attendance constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
